different hands
we want you to know whose hands your olive oil comes from.
the women we work with have spent years caring for their olive trees, learning from their families and from the land itself. we want their names to travel with the oil, from their fields to our tins and onto your table. a small way to remember where it comes from, and who makes each harvest possible.
the women of this harvest
this season begins with two women, two places and years of care behind every olive.
Huda Balasiya
huda learned her love for the land and the skills of olive growing from her father. today, she carries that knowledge into her own work with the trees.
Hasna Altarawneh
hasna has cared for olive trees since the 1990s, first alongside her late husband. the trees hold years of work, memory and care.
care moves in circles
our hope is that, with time, each harvest can bring something good back to the women and the land behind it.
when you bring zaytooni to your table, you're not only enjoying olive oil from Jordan. you're helping us build something that gives more recognition and opportunity to the women who grow it.
part of every sale goes back into supporting their work and the land they care for. that might mean contributing to the costs of looking after the trees, helping them access better tools or agricultural knowledge they want to explore, or supporting more thoughtful ways of farming.
what's needed will look different from one woman and one harvest to another. that's why we want to listen, work alongside them and let that support grow from what matters to them.
